...updating...

It all started positive

Just this summer before the classes started I was very positive about this semester, gathering school requirements, advance readings and even filing a loan for my tuition. It started so well that I even hunted for books but found none of the suggested online. But just the same I have kept my spirits high for the coming school days.
Then the semester started, I only have two classes. First class: it’s almost an hour and the room is still empty. No classmates no teacher. I later found out that our classroom’s been moved to the other building. When I got there, they too were waiting for our instructor but only a representative came to collect our class cards. The second class went well, so for the rest of this entry I’ll be talking about my first class.
The following week and another week, I still haven’t seen our instructor. She seems very busy. Then I began to lose my interest in my class. When I finally met her, my interest for the class totally got lost. Our classes were turned into reading classes and nothing seems to matter in the discussions.
Now, I am totally lost with how I’m going to end this course or how it will end my life in MA.

And now I hate it

The semester is about to end and now my classes are pressing on my time and energy. I still have no idea for my research and still not complete with my reaction papers.

Side stories

Ang dami pang ibang concerns, nito lang Linggo may bago na naman akong pinasok. I enlisted myself as member of the Emergency Service Division of Fighter. The trainings have already started, which means my Sundays will be occupied again and the plans for Baseco will be moved again plus missing the Chapter/Cluster services and all other extras that I’m busy with. Ewan ko ba? By next week I'll be starting with my career shift or maybe just the focus of what I'm doing here in the office. Wala na ko sa Jubilee next year kaya kailangan ko nang mag evolve... Happy Teachers Day JCA! Right now I’m watching And I Hate You So, the title hit me that I wish to post and I hate her so. Maybe on my next post I’ll do that or maybe on my other blog.

What a blast!

Here are some highlights of my week...

I am so down that I can't think of anythingt productive to do in the office. So I spent my time watching a movie online, I watched Love Me Not. It's really great, watch it too...

Last night as I take my seat in the LRT an old man suddenly approached me and asked... "wer is santa cuz?" Whoa!sino ka?(sabi ko sa isip ko). Then I found out that he is a Singaporean and he's just here to visit a sister-in-law. Going back to his question, he is looking for Sta. Cruz and he is holding a paper with Carriedo Station written on it. I was hesitant to help him thinking a Bitoy's camera is around at baka mayari ako but in a short while I found myself enjoying the conversation with him. We could have talked about many things but his English is limited and his voice is too low. But I did enjoy our talk.

I suddenly remebered the Goverment program of Japan that I watched maybe three years ago (yung pag wala ka na magawa tapos wala din ibang labas sa tv). They have this program on appreciation, an adult program for sports, music and other interest to make the adults and the old people be active in their lives. Sana meron dito nun para makapag enrol ako.

teka, eto naman...

What are the plurals of 'octopus', 'hippopotamus', 'syllabus'?

English words of Latin or Greek origin have rather unpredictable plurals, and each one usually depends on how well established that particular word is. It may also depend on whether the Latin or Greek form of the plural is either easily recognizable or pleasant to the speaker of English.

Although it is often supposed that octopi is the 'correct' plural of octopus, and it has been in use for longer than the usual Anglicized plural octopuses, it in fact originates as an error. Octopus is not a simple Latin word of the second declension, but a Latinized form of the Greek word oktopous, and its 'correct' plural would logically be octopodes.

Other words ending in -us show a very varied pattern. Like octopi, the plural hippopotami is now generally taken to be either funny or absurdly pedantic, and the usual plural is hippopotamuses. Common usage appears to indicate a slight preference for termini rather than terminuses, but syllabuses rather than syllabi. Other usual forms include cacti and gladioli, and our files at the dictionary department show scarcely any examples of nucleuses or funguses. (Omnibi is simply a joke, and quite ungrammatical in Latin!)

Among words ending in -um it seems worth drawing attention to the word curricula, plural of curriculum, and warning against confusion with the adjective curricular (as in extra-curricular).

Brotherhood

Last Sunday, we held our refresher about our organization, we reviewed our vision, mission, goal and values. It's supposed to be our Alpha Day but the pledges can't make it because of conflict on schedule and some illogical excuses. Ang tutuo naiinis ako bakit hindi natuloy ang Alpha Day, kung alam lang nila ang hirap ko para maayos ang pledgeship program kung gaano ko pinilit na maging matapang kung gaano ko inilaban ang alam kong tama at dapat. Sayang pati powerpoint presentation ko. But just the same I still wish to implement the APP and uplhold the RA8049 na wala
nito o nito.

Ganito sa M.A.

nakikinig sa reader(reporter) of the day

puyatan pero ba't kaya tong katabi ko gameboy sp dala?

origami time kasi nakakainip makinig, nung kasunod na subject na dun ako naupo sa pwesto nya--grabe napuno nya ilalim ng desk ng mga jet, crane at kung anu ano pang origami. naiwan nya pa ung tie nya tsaka eye glasses...
lecture at seatwork (",)
